Viktor Schreckengost
I am very interested in all the work by this great genius. Of course, the cup handle predates mid-century modern styling (was this a VK design?), but the plate styling appears almost transitional from rim to coupe. The flowers are not stuffy, but particularly alive with mid-century modern vigor. Thanks for this post, Steve.
Cup handle
The cup handle is from the American Limoges shape called Candlelight. Though not modern I would guess it's still a Viktor design.
This decal showed up on at least the Candlelight, Manhattan and Triumph shapes. The latter two shapes are iconic Viktor designs I will post pictures of soon including the piece de resistance from this line.
Flower Shop
I have always loved this pattern, but it's so hard to find. Thanks for sharing, Steve.
