Viktor Schreckengost cups
Submitted by SteveMinne on Tue, 03/16/2010 - 11:33pm
Viktor Schreckengost American Limoges cups
Cup shapes clockwise from top:
Candlelight with Flower Shop Cherry Red Liband pattern
Triumph with Posey Shop pattern
Manhattan with Ship Ahoy pattern (from www.viktorschreckengost.org)
These are stunning...
The second cup looks very similar to the Leigh and Sebring dinnerware... do you know when these pieces were produced?
Thanks for posting them!
Fran E.
Sebring and American Limoges
The Flower Shop decal and Manhattan shape are 1935. Triumph shape is 1937. Candlelight shape is 1940.
Sebring and American Limoges are very closely linked. I'm not familiar with Leigh but they were owned by the Sebring brothers. Others here may know those details better than me.
Re: Viktor Schreckengost cups
I have a set of the ship ahoy pattern luncheon plates. I would like to have any information concerning the designer, production dates, and possible value of the set.
Re: Viktor Schreckengost cups
Pretty sure Ship Ahoy plates and pattern are Viktor Schreckengost designs. As for value, who knows in this market. Perhaps $10 each?
