Does this mean that Schreckengost was a Republican?
Maybe my vision is faulty but I see an elephant (Republican) in the largest portion, a donkey (Democrat -- and this is where I guess it could be another animal), and a chicken (independent) rushing to the other side. Anyone else think this is a very droll expression?

Diane, I certainly see a donkey along with the obvious elephant and chicken decorations. Having gone to a Feb. 5 Caucus volunteer meeting this afternoon, it doesn't take much for me to see this as a very droll expression also.
Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom included what appears to be at least animals: a fish, mule, elephant, ram or goat, cow, rooster, pig and squirrel.

I like this piece. I like the fact each section houses a different animal. Never saw this before. Thanks for sharing.
