| Red Wing Town & Country in Peach. Eva Zeisel. 1946. This groundbreaking line of ware infused clay with both humor & humanity. Shapes are off-center, yet well balanced. They were engineered to be ergonomic, well before most designers were considering the interaction of object with the human body. |

| The playful assymetry is readily seen in this juxtaposition of cereal and plate. The raised edges not only are interestingly comical, they also serve as handles, that facilitate gripping. |

| Consistently concerned about the interaction of the individual with their dinnerware, Zeisel takes this protoplasmic shape and molds it into a serving dish. Note the comma tail handle on the end in which the thumb and hand can easily meld. |
