Russel Wright Dining Room Table. Vintage News. 1935.

GARDEN FURNITURE AWHEEL: It Attains Mobility And Can Readily Be Moved Into the Sun or Shade

One emerging new trend is adding mobility to outdoor furniture.

Apart from this early theme and title, a discussion of 'decorative unity' in rooms of a house as another emerging trend is discussed in the majority of this article. Noting that contemporary designers are bringing more charm to homes, when before there was 'stark functionalism,' the article discusses the recent book Decorative Art, 1935 by Studio Publications. It notes that the book is 'innovatively' divided into sections that separately deal with different rooms of the house.

Pertinent to Russel Wright: a photo from this book is shown featuring an elegant rectangular dining room table and chairs [it looks like Heywood-Wakefield but no such details are given].

Later in the article is a discussion of the emerging importance--decorative and functional--of end tables.
