I agree-underrated!

I agree that the design of these wonderful pieces is underrated.  I'm not surprised to see that at least 1 museum has added the line to its collection (along with very pricey late 1950's Danish silver):

That's wonderful to know that the line is in a museum!! I heard that Schreckengost's stuff was. I'm a huge fan of Paul McCobb's body of work and that makes me happy. In fact, I keep my entire dinnerware collection stuffed into 2 big McCobb credenzas/cabinets.

Museum Credit

I believe that we can thank Charles Venable, the former curator for the Dallas Museum of Art and author of "China and Glass in American, 1880-1980: From Table Top to TV Tray," for adding the McCobb dinnerware to their permanent collection. Charles has a great eye for unsung heroes in the pottery and dinnerware world.
