Michael Lax vase for Hyalyn

Michael Lax vase for Hyalyn
Thrift find today. Thanks to Scott L. for helping me with this find and directing me here.
I've seen Michael P. and Scott V. weigh in on the Lax vs not-Lax debate. Hoping my pic of the base can add to the scholarship. Anyone recognize the partial label?

That may be the store sticker. I've only seen two different types of Raymor Capri stickers and none of them look like that. So if this isn't part of Lax's Raymor Capri line, then maybe it was offered by itself. There are numerous anecdotal reports out of North Carolina that this is hyalyn product and designed by Michael Lax. Also, I thought that wildgather had seen documentation confirming that it was. Maybe he can confirm definitively for us. I'd love to see the actual documentation so that we all can know with 100% certainty.

Nice find!
My heart would have quickened because I'm familiar with the piece.
I have no definitive documentation. As Mike said it may be a solo piece. Its not shown with the Raymor Capri line catalog.
I did see it in Hickory at the hyalyn exhibit. Where there was a description and a date, and it was attributed to Lax.
I know the Raymor Capri pieces were marked with an L- # in the catalog as yours is.
If you look at the hyalyn exhibit display here on Modish, you will see it in the Michale Lax display case.
I'm sure more will be revealed. For my money it is a good hyalyn piece, designed by M. Lax.
That is only my opinion.

Update!
When I visited the hyalyn exhibit last year They let me take a lot of images.
Was just looking at some of them and found the frog vase, thats what it is called.
Mike mentioned I might know for sure. Honestly I couldn't remember for sure.
But just found the hyalyn catalog page for the piece. It is not Capri. It is from the HI-LINE line, 1971-1972 designed by michael Lax.
It came in two sizes JL-26 9" $12.00, and JL-10 6" $8.00. And was distributed by Raymor.
Congratulations! On a cool find.

(Also lucky I got the title of this post right.)
Re: Michael Lax vase for Hyalyn
Thanks for the research and information, Ken!
I have one in white and one in black. Do you recall if there were other colors available?
PS: A belated, nice find, Steve!
Re: Michael Lax vase for Hyalyn
After all these years! Finally, real confirmation that this is, in fact, a Michael Lax design. Terrific. Thanks Ken! Now if we could just learn more about Arno Scheiding!
Re: Michael Lax vase for Hyalyn
Thanks for another MODish connecting of the dots.
Re: Michael Lax vase for Hyalyn
Fun followup on this vase. I put it up for sale and the buyer is from Hickory, NC! So this vase started in Hickory, I bought it in Tucson, brought it to Minneapolis and now it's headed home. Very cool.
