Marc Bellaire. Mardi Gras covered bowl & ashtray
Friday, I went to the big antique show and flea market in Springfield. Man, it was a good'n this time. I came home with bags of stuff...odds & ends, a bag of table linens, and a few really great finds.

Oh, boy. You lucky guy! Fantastic.
Re: Marc Bellaire
Nice! Do you find your flea market had a more vendors with wares leaning more towards mcm? I ask because I've noticed more vintage modern stuff within the last year. There are always 1 or 2 that are regulars at the market, and once in a while 3 or 4 mcm vendors will be there. My favorite booths are the vendors th have the whole package-furniture,lamps,pottery, and arranged like a living room. Like going back in a time machine!
Re: Marc Bellaire
I see no more mcm dealers than usual, these days. And I generally make my finds with dealers that have a broad range of things. Springfield is pretty big, so there's always something for everyone. My local flea market, however, has been a real bust lately...nothing but old tools, toys and stuffed animals.
Re: Marc Bellaire
Well I'm glad the hunting went well. Will you be showing us the linens?
Re: Marc Bellaire
lol, yes, I'm sure they will make it into a future klatch.

Yowza!!
I've seen the groovy ashtray before, but never, never have I seen this magnificent covered bowl. It's simply Smashing!!
