Malibu Modern by Hollydale Potteries

One of my favorite things to collect, besides dinnerware, are pottery brochures and other ephemera. Here is the front page of a later brochure when there were 8 colors being offered in the Malibu Modern line.

This is the inside of an older brochure which features what I assume were the four original colors. At this point, this is just speculation. I'll add more to this page as I have time. I've listed the contents of the brochures in the library under Charts & Lists.

Those ads are fun,

Those ads are fun, especially the stylized man holding the dinnerware!

One of my favorites

Great brochure - I have a big set of Malibu modern with more than eight colors, I think.... I know I photographed them. I'll post some pictures. - Craig

I see white as a ninth color

I see white as a ninth color (I'm drooling over that coffeepot), but I can't figure out what the other one is...some variation of maroon?

Two-tone Malibu Modern

There are two ebay auctions with two-tone Malibu Modern currently: auctions 160224255465 and 180228561676. Looks like an overspray geared to the restaurant-ware market, but as the pictures show the pieces are all chipped up. The Hollydale is certainly no Sterling or Buffalo China.

Malibu modern 2 tone

I have a set from my grandmother that is cream with dark green sprayed around the rims.  I am actually considering selling the collection but wanted to find someone who would treasure them instead of just putting them in a garage sale. I have no idea where to even start so if anyone has any advice, I'd certainly appreciate it!
