Heath Ceramics Teapot
Recently picked up this beauty. While the teapot is back in production, this is a vintage example.

Re: Heath Ceramics
Just like Edgar Kaufmann Jr. said of Edith Heath's work...classically modern. Nice!
Re: Heath Ceramics
A few years ago I had also found a green gunmetal teapot so I'm curious if your's is marked with the HEATH mark that has the elongated T ending with what I assume is a cup?
Thanks
Re: Heath Ceramics
@ futuralover: yes, this piece is marked as you describe.
Re: Heath Ceramics
Beautiful piece.Great shot too. Love the real soft light on the body of the piece. Heath pieces are so thoughtful and restrained. Thanks for sharing.
Heath Ceramics: Factory Tour
Oh my... When you mentioned that this beauty was back in production I immediately Googled Heath. To my surprise they have a factory right near my city (San Francisco), in Sausalito, just over the Golden Gate bridge, and they give FREE tours!!! Has anyone visited it? I am going to have to put this on my To-Do list, sounds fun doesn't it!
Beautiful photo too!
Re: Heath Ceramics: Factory Tour
@ mod-mod-world: FYI, you may already have seen this, but Heath recently opened a retail space in the Ferry Building. Love to hear about the factory tour (I need to get over there and do that too).
Re: Heath Ceramics: Factory Tour
I went to the factory outlet in Sausalito while my husband and I were driving down the coast about a month ago. I didn't take the factory tour, but did peek in the factory windows. It is amazing how unfactory-like it is. I also managed to pick up a stray lid for my casserole that I found at the thrift store a while back sans lid.
