Haeger triple bud vase ca 1967

Haeger triple bud vase ca 1967
As promised, here is one of my purchases from the 2011 Cincinnati Modernism show.
Found as early as the 1967 Haeger catalogs, this is a very Mod/Pop triple budvase, shape #4050. This one has no mark at all, typical for this piece since it's foot is quite small. Usually, these just got some kind of sticker that has long been washed away, or perhaps the shape number in crayon. At maximum, this vase is 12 inches tall. It is executed in Haeger's Indigo blue glaze.
It reminds me of those weird tubeworms that exist in super-heated water at the very bottom of the ocean - I keep waiting for someting to pop out!

My, my, leave it to the Haeger guru to ID this piece. I saw this. Definitely caught my eye and even picked it up. Had no idea it was Haeger.

I would also have not known. LOVE how much the Duke knows.
Re: Haeger triple bud vase ca 1967
They do look like a family of tube worms.
Thanks Rick for helping us discover the breadth and depth of Haeger's production. I assume these are Haeger 'rarities'--are they, in fact, difficult finds?

Thanks Mike - glad to be a contributor to this great site!
There was so little Haeger offered at Cinci Mod this year, strange given how much should be around. But Haeger, like alot of things, has gotten difficult to find in great shapes and colors. I'd loosely grade rarity on this shape as a 3 or 4 on a scale from 1 to 10 - I bought one on eMonster about a year ago in Peacock, again without the the seller knowing what they had - this is one shape you can sneak-up on!
