Russel Wright White Clover 2 Quart Casserole Harkerware
Russel Wright White Clover
Sometimes luck just smiles down on you. At the Alameda Pointe
Antiques Faire today I found not one, but two of these elusive beauties -
this one in Meadow Green and another in Golden Spice. White Clover
seems to be fairly scarce here on the west coast - you occasionally see
an odd dinner plate or sacuer, but very rarely the serving pieces. The
most amazing thing of all: each was about the price of a latte at
Starbucks.

Re: Russel Wright White Clover
Condition looks to be new. I have never seen this anywhere, including antique malls or other retail.
Re: Russel Wright White Clover
I think it's odd that there would be two of these in two different colors being sold by the same dealer. By all accounts, this was not a mix-and-match dinnerware line like say American Modern or Iroquois. You know how you can tell if a dealer is a collector divesting of his collection vs. a dealer who specializes in a specific genre vs. a dealer who buys house lots and liquidates them? This dealer was definitely the latter.
By the way, the overall condition of both was great but the inside rims of the lids do have some minor discoloration, the kind you would expect to see if food leeched into the glaze (you often see it with the lids of butterdishes).

2 scores none-the-less. Bravo.
