Re: Mod Glass Pilsner
Oh my-are these ever COOL!!! PBR has got to taste terrific in them.
Re: Mod Glass Pilsner
Wow, wow, wow! Spectacular!
Re: Mod Glass Pilsner
They're Libbey, mid-'50s - I'll come back in a bit with the pattern name (if nostalgiaholic doesn't beat me to it.)
ETA: OK, found them: 1956, from the Continental line - pattern is called Seville.
Here's a link to the catalog: right on the cover!
Re: Mod Glass Pilsner
Very Much Obliged! I'm a bit new at this as evidenced by my Godzilla-sized pictures ( I have to figure out how to size better...) I wasn't even aware that a Libbey catalogue resource was available. I raise a glass ( a very cool one) to your expertise!
Re: Mod Glass Pilsner
I like the big photos~~and the glasses are cool, too. I like lots of designs in that catalogue!
Re: Mod Glass Pilsner
What a cool design. I'd love to serve up some pilsners on the patio in them.
Re: Mod Glass Pilsner
Nice score! The mid-50's was simply the best for Libbey designs, and the Continental line is one of my favorites. Do a site search here for 'Libbey Continental' and you can see more examples. Thanks for sharing.
