Re: Georges Briard

Congrats! I just pulled the black square vase from an estate sale a couple weeks ago. Posted it for sale on Etsy but I'll share pics here. I'll do that tonight and maybe we can get a Briard wave going here?!!!

Re: Georges Briard

Within reason I'm with you.  There are some GB things, particularly some of the later glassware designs, that I doubt the man himself had [anything] to do with, other than sticking his name of them -- scary things.

Re: Georges Briard

My guess is that he was all about the decoration rather than shapes.

Re: Georges Briard

I'm not generally a Briard fan. The Midas line is the great exception.

Want to post pics of my black vase but now I'm working. Grrr. Give me some time.

One other quick comment- your piece is GREAT!

Such a great score! You must have been thrilled. I love the Midas line.

This appears to be a "Contemporary Elegance Tapered Vase", B-12, Small Tapered Vase, 6" diameter by 7" high in White. It was also available in Black, Blue, Olive, and Terra Cotta Matte.

Re: Midas

Thanks, Mike - I thought that was the shape number, but was going to ask to be sure.

Re: Midas

Mike's description of the size surprised me. This thing looks 10" tall!
