Re: Century House
Very cool plate! She obviously was influenced by Frederic Weinberg.
Re: Century House
I love Century House pieces whenever I see them, but this one's particularly good! Super cool.
Re: Century House
I absolutely LOVE this.
Re: Century House
I love this, too. Great plate. They're walking like Egyptians (sorry--couldn't resist!).
Re: Century House
That kills me. You're right!
Re: Century House
I looked for Century House ceramics when I was traveling through Wisconsin. I ran across just one plate but it was not like this. Terrific decoration. I would have felt my antique trip to Wisconsin was a success if I found just this one thing. Way to go.
Re: Century House
In Century House, for every wonderful abstract design, there are 20 Amish/Swedish folk designs. Good pieces show up occasionally on ebay and with luck in Wisconsin.
Re: Century House
This is a terrific piece, Clyde. Did you find it in the wild in Kansas?
Re: Century House
Thanks Scott and to everyone else who commented. I consider myself lucky to have this plate in my collection. BTW, this was a surprising ebay find.
Re: Century House
Superb - congrats - your lucky day - it's georgeous!
