Bauhaus

Bauhaus Lamp

Amongst today´s charity shop finds was this lamp, i got it for 50% off just by haggling, best euro i ever saved :-)

That sounds rough, haggling from charity , but with today's prices at thrifts, I certainly admit to being very happy when they have their 50% off sales! Spectacular lamp for sure.

I dont feel bad at all, its a German State run charity shop, the worker get paid $1.40 a hour, and have to work 40 hours a week, for 3 months, to keep their benfits.

 

I have since found out it was made by Kaiser Leuchten, Model no 6840, made in the 1930s, the designers at Kaiser Leuchten all attended the Bauhaus.

Kev, Amazing lamp, without question. I just googled what state prisoners in the US make per hour--as much as $7/hr. Yikes!
