I think that's production, not studio - the mark's too smooth and regular to be incised, looks like a molded (impressed) mark to me. Schulz?
I just did a quick search - there's a cup with a very similar motif on Ebay right now, indicates Schulz Pottery was in Portland OR.
ETA: Apparently Schulz is still in business, although the wares they're currently selling are in a blue & white glaze that incorporates Mt. St. Helen's ash.

I have seached schulz or schultz and nothing came-up....It's possible I just have not dugg deeper.
