Does anyone know who manufactued this for Gailstyn? I would appreciate the info. Most of the stuff Gailstyn sold was pretty mundane, dare I say cheap, but this line caught my eye. Per the hang tag, it's not very extensive.

I believe I've seen this decoration before, but not the casserole or gravy with stand shapes. Very nice, indeed. Don't know the answer to your question.
James Bond Hostess Ware
A wonderful set that's perfect any Special Executive for Counter-intelligence brunch. I wouldn't be surprised to find a spacecraft subverting decoding device hidden inside. Love it love it love it!!

Thanks mod mod, they do have that kinda swank, espionage look...
Either that, or...
...someone had several rolls of Charette self-adhesive registration marks left over from their keyline and paste up days. If that were the case, I might have recommended some hints of non-repro blue, just for flavor.
Also a huge fan of these pieces.
(But I often feel like MomMod's parrot).
The lids look just like lids
The lids look just like lids that Taylor Smith Taylor uses on some of their 60s lines - so it might have been them.

Aha...you may be right. I'll look into it. Thanks so much!

I don't know who designed this for Gailstyn, however, I can tell you that Belle Kogan did do some work for the company. It also appears that The Gailstyn Company, Inc. name ended in 1979 and the Gailstyn-Sutton Company, inc. was used until 1995. It appears that the Gailstyn-Sutton name was actually incorporated in 1972. It would appear that Lehner has a listing for the company, however she has spelled the company Gallstyn, which must be a typo. I have a listing of the company in a trade directory from 1962. It looks like they had national trade distribution from coast to coast (including Hollywood, Ca).
Belle Kogan
Wow, Belle really got around back in the day...I had no idea. Great sluething, Mike. I've seen the Gailstyn-Sutton name on several occasions, but it's the Walter Kidde association that really threw me. Thanks for this very interesting info.
TOWLE
Just an FYI - Here's a modern teak wood casserole stand listing the maker as "GAILSTYN-SUTTON - A TOWLE® company".
