Practically Tiki

Franciscan Whitestone Ware Antigua sugar bowl, circa 1960.

Perhaps an overlooked gem... I plan on adding more Antigua to my collection as soon as possible!

Very nice!

I passed up a whole set of this at a flea market a couple of years ago and I'm still kicking myself!  I agree--overlooked!

This Whitestone Ware is

This Whitestone Ware is another great line for everyday use, and easliy found to amass a quick set.  I collect Merry-Go-Round for this very reason.  The patterns are cool, the stuff wears well, and I've had no problems with dishwashers or microwaves.  Swingtime is another groovy pattern.

I totally agree Scott. Merry-Go-Round has caught my eye on many occations, causing me to investigate the other patterns on the shape. Some of the decorations are growing on me, but the undecorated one is nice too (Cloud Nine, I think). I looked up Swing Time, that is groovy with it's little boomerangs!

I think I'll probably end up collecting a mish-mash of patterns on this shape, as opposed to just one. And why not... I already have dinnerware stored all over my apartment in inppropriate places. A few more teapots isn't going hurt!
