Forum International Stoneware
Finding the covered casserole on my trip to Florida inspired this photoshoot of my modest collection of Forum International Stoneware. Some Ben Seibel love!

Re: Forum International
Does anyone know if FU is related in any way to Iroquois? I remember reading that someplace.
Re: Forum International
Don't know about the Iroquois connection, but this is a sweet grouping, Chris!
Re: Forum International
Same address on the catalog as Iroquois China. Was FI a division of Iroquois China? Maybe. I don't think we know for certain.
I always thought this was unlike typical Japanese production--this being so heavy weight. I don't see how cost effective it would have been to make it in Japan and ship it here. I wish we knew more about this line.
Re: Forum International
SO cool that you found the wood pedestal, too.
Re: Forum International
I've got the coffee pot which the seller described as "Made in Japan." Seems like I googled Forum International and confirmed this. Of course now I can't find that information. It just occurred to me, doesn't a U.S. import need to be labled with the country origin?
Another bit of info. She said be careful using it because it seeped out the bottom. She also had coffee cups that did too. The saucers showed drops off moisture under the cup.
I haven't tested it to find out but there are no cracks anywhere on the pot. The clay looks to be porous and it doesn't feel all that heavy to me for such a big piece.
Re: Forum International
Here you go. A stylized F above an I. With "FORUM" above and "INTERNATIONAL" below.
Re: Forum International
Paper labels have been found on some pieces saying Patent Pending Made in Japan.
Re: Forum International
How is it marked?
I've got this green coffee pot, sugar & creamer which is unmarked, but seems so similar in style.
Re: Forum International
A highly attractive grouping of Forum International. Finding the covered casserole with the wood stand is a good score.
Re: Forum International
I've only managed to collect a couple pieces of Forum International but have long admired the line. I dug a warming stand out of storage this morning to see how it was marked. Do the letters below the "FI" make sense to anyone here?
Re: Forum International
After looking at your photo a few times, I'm pretty sure the word is "JAPAN."
Re: Forum International
Great collection. Gotta love Ben.
