"The Book"
Thanks-- that is definitely a must-have!
Now I just need someone to write one on hyalyn....

That Hyalyn book has your name written all over it.
Brad, I think that Hyalyn book has your name written all over it.
Hmmmm....
I've thought about it. To do it right, I'd have to quit my job.
Hyalyn book
I totally agree about the necessity of a Hyalyn book!

Fantastic!

I really enjoyed visiting this gallery. Lots of wonderful photos--shapes, patterns and glazes that I was not aware of. I am in such awe that I am ending sentences with prepositions. "-). I hope that someone somewhere is working on a book about this fantastic pottery company.

There is one!
There is a great Glidden book out, tennebrac. Glidden Pottery by Margarret Carney, Ph.D., was released by the Schein-Joseph International Museum of Ceramic Art and the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University in 2001. It is one of my "must have's." Sorry, there isn't an ISBN, but you can buy it online.

Thank you so much for posting these gallery photos. It's a thrill to see this amazing Glidden pottery! I'm not done studying these photos but the Fong Chow studio pottery is spectactular. I'm also partial to the Green Mesa and Gulfstream Blue pieces - they're gorgeous. The Charcoal & Rice line is wonderful too - I like the shapes and spare but attractive glaze treatments. "Spare" may not be the right word to describe the glaze -- this Glidden pottery demands thoughtfulness and I'm at a loss for words today.
