Chase Originals Figural Piece

Chase Originals Figural Piece
Another recent find. While the name and mark were not familiar, I was pleased to learn that it was produced in the very city in which I currently reside (Berkeley, CA). It has an incised script mark "Chase Originals." It also is marked Kim 01, so perhaps this was one of a pair (I am not sure). The company was founded by, and the designer's name was Adele Chase. Apparently some of her designs were produced by California Faiance, also located in Berkeley.
Based on what I do know, I assume this piece is from perhaps the late 30s or early 40s. If anyone's interested, there is a website devoted to her work, and it's accessible by following this link:

If you click "ceramics" in the header, there are several other similar type pieces. Apparently leaving parts of her pieces unglazed was a signature component of her work.

We have a couple similar-looking items posted here probably more than a year ago.
