A few new pieces of Chalice that I picked up at an antique store recently.

Re: Chalice

And here's a detail from another piece I collected recently.  This is a picture of the bases of two tall pitchers.  Every piece of Chalice I have is signed like the piece on the right, except for the piece on the left here, were the artist decided to get...creative...with the L :)  Unfortunately, the adornment on the rest of this particular vase isn't nearly as interesting - but when I saw that signature, I had to buy it!  I wonder how many went out like this...

Re: Chalice

I've started to notice chalice in the wild, but not very often! This set of new finds are fantastic. I was beginning to think that they only made pitchers and cups. Glad to see more.

(BTW, I've changed the dimensions of your photo to fit inside the comment box--you, yourself, can automatically resize a photo to fit into these comments. Click on your photo and then hit the picture insert button. Go to the Appearance tab and change the size to 915 for a maximum width. Then click in the height box and the new width dimension will automatically appear--keeping the same aspect ratio. Hit save then you will have a photo that fits inside the comments box.)

Brian, thanks for sharing these great photos with us!

Re: Chalice

Brian, these bird candlestick holders are awesome! Nice find. It's fun to dream about pottery while I am working over here in China. How was NYC?
