Tropicana Fish Ashtray

I do not usually buy ashtrays, but I could not resist this 12.75-inch square bad boy with the Tropicana Fish pattern. The pattern was designed by Helen McIntosh.

I thought this design was so cool when I saw it at a garage sale a few years ago. It's 6.75 inches (17 cm) wide, and 22 inches (56 cm) long. No markings.

I was very happy to find this at the thrift yesterday.  They style number is *1248.  I'm not sure if it is a David Gil designed piece since the style number doesn't include the "dg".
