This actual plate appeared in one of the California pottery books that highlighted Marc Bellaire. Signed by Marc Bellaire. Dated 1958.

Charles Houston
We haven't been able to find out much about Charles Houston other than what others have noted here on Modish--that he produced kitschy mugs in the late 1940s and early 1950s from Fresno, California
